S/O Satyamurthy (read as Son of Satyamurthy) is an upcoming Telugu family drama written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S. Radha Krishna under the banner Haarika & Haasine Creations. It features an ensemble cast of Allu Arjun, Upendra,Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sneha, Adah Sharma, Nithya Menen and Rajendra Prasad.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film. The film was launched officially on 10 April 2014 at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The principal photography commenced on 22 September 2014 at Hyderabad. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 9 April 2015.

This film was considered an image makeover for Allu Arjun. He underwent hard training for new style of fight sequences and hired a popular gymnast to learn flips, somersaults and other gymnastic skills in order to make the stunts done by him look realistic. He along with his brother Allu Sirish and stylist Ashwin shopped for his costumes at Dubai and also lost 10 kilos of weight to sport a lean look for which he took special diet and workouts in the gym. Sneha was speculated to play the role of Allu Arjun's sister-in-law in the film which had no official confirmation. Upendra said that he would be playing one of the three characters in the film where one follows his heart, one uses his brain and another one who is mighty and strong.
Contrary to the speculations, it was confirmed that Upendra is not playing a negative role in the film and has a role parallel to Allu Arjun in the film. Adah Sharma was reported to sport a traditional attire in the film. It was known later that Adah Sharma's character would be a very crazy one while Allu Arjun role would have a performance oriented and well nuanced characterization.Allu Arjun was confirmed to play the role of an event manager in late October 2014. Nithya Menen was reported to be seen in a negative role as Upendra's sister in the film.Regarding Allu Arjun's looks, his stylist Ashwin said that his look will reflect the current fashion trends in Milan, Paris and London. They incorporated pieces from Autumn-Winter 2014 and Spring-Summer 2015 collections to put the look together.
He added that they went shopping to Dubai as Allu Arjun wanted to handpick the outfits himself and since European capitals then had only winter collections, they headed to Dubai to pick the latest of Spring-Summer 2015. Apart from that, it was known that Allu Arjun would sport multiple hairdos in the film. Upendra was reported to be seen as a Tamilian residing in Madurai.[70] He was confirmed to be seen as the landlord of a big house in Madurai in the end of January 2015.[71] Nithya Menen was rumored in mid February 2015 to be seen as Allu Arjun's sister in the film and an official confirmation was unavailable.The same was denied later by the makers and she was confirmed as one of the female leads.
Filming
In early December 2013, The film's shoot was planned to start in February 2014 once Allu Arjun completes the shoot of Race Gurram(2014).In the end of March 2014, the film's shoot was postponed to April 2014 in Hyderabad. During the formal announcement of the film's launch, it was said that the film's shoot would start in the third week of April 2014. After he became a father, Allu Arjun said that he wanted to be with his wife Sneha and his new born son for a month and has not slotted any projects after the release of Race Gurram.In June 2014, The film's shoot was postponed to July 2014 till Allu Arjun wraps his part for Rudramadevi (2015). He completed it on 30 July 2014 and planned to join this film's sets soon.
Filming began on 22 September 2014 at a mall in Hyderabad on aforesaid date where few comedy scenes on Allu Arjun, Vennela Kishore and Surekha Vani were shot. Samantha joined the film's sets on 1 October 2014 after completing her portions in Kaththi (2014) while Adah Sharma joined the film's sets 5 days later at Hyderabad. A week-long schedule was planned at Ooty where few important scenes on Allu Arjun, Upendra, Samantha and Sneha were planned to be shot. Those plans were given up because of uproar in Tamil Nadu due to Jayalalitha's arrest and the schedule was shot near Shamshabad in Hyderabad. Art director Ravinder erected a huge set on an open ground there for a crucial destination wedding scene and they flew in special flowers from Bangkok.
A fight sequence on Allu Arjun was shot at Ramoji Film City under the supervision of Peter Hein. A special house set was erected by Ravinder in Kokapet where few key scenes were shot on Brahmanandam and Kota Srinivasa Rao apart from the principal cast in late November 2014. By then, the filming reached the final stage of completion and the producers confirmed that the talkie part will be wrapped up by the end of November and the songs will be shot in the next month. The house set erected at Kokapet resembled a Tamilian's house at Madurai for which Ravinder transported three truckloads of big trees from a farm house in Kadiam near Rajahmundry and materials were brought in from Delhi and Chennai.
For this house set, Trivikram traveled along with Ravinder to a small city near Madurai and did their research about the house. The film's shoot was temporarily halted because of the ongoing strike by Film Federation Employees and the Cyclone Hudhud relief fundraiser event Memu Saitham being held at Vishakhapatnam. The strike was called off later and the shootings resumed on 6 December 2014. Upendra finished his first schedule of shooting for this film and rejoined the sets of Uppi 2 (2015) on 10 December 2014. A massive fight sequence featuring Allu Arjun was shot in Ramoji Film City.Later, few key scenes were shot on Allu Arjun and others there.Few comedy scenes on Allu Arjun and Samantha were shot at Hyderabad in late December 2014.
Allu Arjun took a break for celebrating New Year along with his wife and son in South Africa and was reported to rejoin the film's sets in the second week of January 2015.The final schedule began on 6 January 2015 in Hyderabad and some important scenes were planned to be shot. A new schedule began on 20 January 2015 and few action sequences and romantic scenes were planned to be shot.The post-production activities were reported to resume in late February 2015.The film's climax portions were shot in the house set erected at Kokapet in late January 2015.Few action sequences and family scenes involving all the major artistes were shot in that house set which was erected at a cost of 30 million.

The filming was confirmed to continue there till the first week of February 2015 with which the entire talkie part would be completed. A fight sequence featuring Allu Arjun and hundreds of fighters was shot in early February 2015. Upendra rejoined the sets at the same time in Hyderabad to shoot for his scenes in the film.A song choreographed by Shekhar was shot on Allu Arjun, Samantha and Nithya Menen in the house set erected at Kokapet in late February 2015. The film's unit later left for Spain to film few song sequences.The team returned on 6 March 2015 after completing the shoot of 3 songs featuring Allu Arjun, Samantha and Nithya Menen. The last song choreographed by Jani featuring Allu Arjun, Samantha and Adah Sharma was shot from 11 March 2015 in a special set erected at Annapurna Studios on whose completion, the film's principal photography came to an end.
Post production
Allu Arjun began dubbing for his role in early January 2015. He resumed dubbing for his role from 7 March 2015 after returning from the schedule at Spain.

Devi Sri Prasad was signed in to compose the soundtrack album and background score for the film. Folk-fusion artist Raghu Dixitmade his debut in Telugu cinema as a playback singer with this film and stated on 4 February 2015 that he has completed recording a special song for the film. The soundtrack was announced to be released on 14 March 2015. Pawan Kalyan along withMahesh Babu were expected to attend the audio launch as the chief guests.Devi Sri Prasad completed recording a song in late February 2015 whose lyrics too were written by him. Aditya Music acquired the soundtrack's marketing rights and the official track list consisting of seven tracks was released on 14 March 2015.The film's soundtrack was released on 15 March 2015 at Hotel Novotel in Hyderabad.
IndiaGlitz gave 3.25 out of 5 stars and called the soundtrack "electrifying" and "different offering in part, not totally". Oneindia Entertainment gave 3 out of 5 stars and selected "Seethakalam", "Come to the Party" and "Super Machi" as the best songs of the soundtrack. Behindwoods gave 2.75 out of 5 stars and called the soundtrack a typical one from the commercially successful combination of Allu Arjun - Trivikram Srinivas - Devi Sri Prasad combo faring low in terms of stunning novelty and experimentation.[111]
